School
The Connecticut River Academy at Goodwin University (CTRA) is a LEARN magnet high school located along the historic Connecticut River in East Hartford, CT. The academy offers a unique early college model, allowing students to earn more than 35 transferable college credits while still in high school. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning experiences in Environmental Studies and Advanced Manufacturing. In addition to academic pursuits, students can participate in various afterschool enrichment programs, clubs, and athletics. The academy, which opened in 2010 and graduated its first 4-year class in 20142, is part of the Goodwin University Magnet School System, serving students from pre-K through grade 12.
