Great Island Boat Launch
Boat Ramp
The Great Island Boat Launch is a trailered boat launch managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection. It is located at 99 Smith Neck Road in Old Lyme. The launch is open year-round and provides access to the Connecticut River. The site features a paved access road, parking surface, and ramp. It has 35 parking spaces and seasonal chemical toilets, but does not have any docks. The launch is subject to specific speed limits and regulations; please note that the area can be shallow at low tide.
This site is part of the Connecticut River Paddlers Trail, which includes campsites, access points, and portage trails along the river.
