Pohick Episcopal Church

The church was completed in 1774 based on a design by a member of its building committee--George Washington. Other members of the building committee included George Mason and George William Fairfax. The church was heavily damaged during the Civil War and has been renovated and restored. It has an active parish, and is located on Richmond Highway (U.S. Route 1) at Telegraph and Old Colchester Roads.
