Buckeystown Community Park
Canoe/Kayak Access Point

Buckeystown Community Park sits along a quiet bend of the Monocacy River, offering one of Frederick County?s most peaceful riverside spots. The park blends open fields, shady trees, and easy water access, making it a favorite place for paddlers to launch, families to picnic, and locals to unwind beside the water. Its walking paths and broad views of the river give it a relaxed, rural character, while the steady flow of the Monocacy adds a sense of connection to the wider watershed. It?s a small community park, but it captures the charm of Buckeystown?s historic landscape and provides a welcoming gateway to the river.
The park provides kayak and canoe access to the Monocacy River and is used by paddlers running the scenic stretch between Gambrill Mill and the Monocacy boat ramp near the Potomac . Hours of operation are 8 AM to sunset. The park can handle up to 20 vehicles in the gravel parking area.
