Prime Hook Wildlife Area Boat Ramp

Prime Hook Boat Ramp is a boat launch on Poplar Woods pond and Stickweed Pond in the Prime Hook State Wildlife Area. The Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge is located 22 miles southeast of Dover, DE, near the western shore of Delaware Bay. The refuge was established in 1963 to conserve an important segment of the Delaware Bay marshes, to protect migrating and wintering waterfowl habitat. The refuge has a boat ramp at Foord's Landing, which is just off the entrance road about 1/2 mile before the Refuge Visitor Center23. The boat ramp at the State of Delaware's Prime Hook Wildlife Management Area is also available for use. The refuge offce boat ramp and the ramp at the State of Delaware's Prime Hook Wildlife Management Area are closed each year from the beginning of September to March 15.
