Bushnell Street Access

Bushnell Street provides access to the Connecticut River in Essex, Connecticut. This access point, known as Bushnell Access, is managed by the Essex Harbor Management Commission. It’s primarily used for small vessel storage, with 75 annual permits available. All vessels stored at this location are required to have a current permit decal affixed to the vessel’s hull. This access point is part of the public waterway for the town, which includes two Federal Anchorages, navigational channels, and about eleven public access points.

This site is part of the Connecticut River Paddlers Trail, which includes campsites, access points, and portage trails along the river.
