Potomac State Forest

Maryland State Forest

This rugged mountain forest includes 10,400 acres in southeastern Garrett County, off Md. Rt. 135. The area is in the headwaters of the Potomac River and feeds the Jennings Randolph Lake. Features include fishing, hunting, picnic areas, shelters, and camping. Areas of the Potomac in the Potomac State Forest are considered "delayed harvest" trout fishing areas by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
