Sleepy Creek Lake

West Virginia Recreation Site

This 2005-acre lake is formed behind an impoundment on the Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area.

The lake was built in 1962 with a maximum depth of 26 feet and an average depth of 9 feet. One concrete and two gravel boat ramps are available. Pit toilets and four primitive camping areas (fees charged) are also on site. Boating with electric motors only is permitted.
