Maryland State Park

blank dot

This 467-acre park south of Frostburg is located adjacent to the Dan's Mountain Wildlife Management Area, with rugged mountain terrain draining into the North Branch Potomac. The state park features a pond that is stocked with fish annually. The most popular feature of the park is an Olympic-size swimming pool with a bath house and a concession stand. The park also has trails with a panoramic view of the valley from a height of 2,898 feet. The park has picnic areas, playgrounds, and shelters, but no overnight facilities. Fishing is restricted to "put-and-take" for trout by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

In September 2022, Dans Mountain completed a 3-mile hiking and mountain biking trail through the park that is rated "moderate" in difficulty.
