Kayak School

Based in Reston, Virginia, the Canoe Kayak and Paddle Co. (CKAPCO) conduct workshops in river and whitewater kayak, touring and sea kayak, river safety and rescue and stand up paddle-boarding for clubs, universities, park services, camps, youth groups and individuals who want to improve their skills and teach others. The company also leads paddlng trips in the Washington DC area as well as Idaho, Florida, North Caroln, and outside the U.S. CKAPCO leads trips along the Potomac River throughout the spring, summer and fall. Among the more popular tours are trips on the Potomac to see cherry blossoms and the historic monuments and memorials from the water's perspective. Other trips include Riverbend Park, Algonkian Park, Old Angler's, and Riley's Lock.
