Great Falls area historic sites include the Dranesville Tavern, on Va. Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) west of Great Falls, the Colvin Run Mill and the Great Falls Grange in the village of Great Falls. All are operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority. Dranesville Tavern has been restored to its mid-19th century appearance as a roadside inn. The building frequently hosts conferences and events. The grange building was built in 1929 as a community center for Great Falls. It now serves as a popular site for meetings, weddings, art shows, and theatrical productions. For information about these facilities, contact the Fairfax County Park Authority, Historic Properties Rental Section, at 703-750-1598.
