Nature trails, river views, and picnic sites are available at this popular Virginia park upstream of Great Falls. Trails run from the information center to remote sections of the 400-acre park; a riverside trail connects to Great Falls. Special nature-oriented programs are offered at the interpretive center and other facilities. Some horse trails are available in the park.

Riverbend Park is open year-round and provides a good viewpoint to see the Potomac just above Great Falls. The Nature Center has a sales desk, trail brochures, and insect and mineral collections.

Riverbend Park is part of the "Find Your Chesapeake" project of the National Park Service and the Chesapeake Conservancy. Click here for details..
