Capitol River Cruises offers a Potomac River cruise aboard the Nightingale II, a 65 riverboat originally from Mackinac Island, Michigan. The boat tours the Potomac on the hour, noon to 9 PM daily. Standard sightseeing cruises start around $25 per person, while sunset cruises are about $30 per person. The boat has a 90-person capacity with snack bar, restrooms, and tables for picnics. The tour goes downstream about 3 miles to National Airport. The tours are run from mid-March through October each year.

Tour sites include the Kennedy Center, Key Bridge, Memorial Bridge, Roosevelt Island, Washington Monument, LBJ Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, US Capitol, The Watergate, Lincoln Memorial, Maritime Memorial and the Custis-Lee Mansion (Arlington House).
