Local airport for the Cumberland area. The airport is located in the town of Wiley Ford, West Virginia, two miles south of Cumberland. The airport has an historical gallery of displays on the history of the Potomac Highlands area. One popular attraction is a 40% scale replica of the Wright Brothers' famous 1903 Wright Fllyer. Cumberland established an airfield in 1923, and was visited by Orville Wright in 1933. Another Cumberland airport was located nearby at Mexico Farms that served the large corporate customers such as Kelly-Springfield Tire Company and Celalnese Corporation. The airport has not had commercial service since 2003.
