blank dot

An unicorporated town on the North Branch, in the coal mining community. Located near the source of the North Branch Potomac River, Dobbin was busy during the coal boom of the late 19th Century. West Virginia Route 90, also called the Henry Dobbin Highway, connects the towns of Henry and Dobbin. The road generally follows the route of the North Branch and the Thomas Subdivision of the Western Maryland Railway, which was abandoned in the 1970s.
