James Muldoon River Center

The James P. Muldoon River Center is a 13,000 square foot eco-friendly facility of the St. Mary's College of Maryland located in Saint Mary's City. The River Center is located on the banks of the St. Mary's River and was named after the former chairman of the St. Mary's College of Maryland Board of Trustees, James P. Muldoon, an avid sailor and founder of the Brendan Sail Training Program. The River Center is home to the St. Mary's national championship sailing team and the club crew team. The site includes docks, ramps and boardwalks for improved access to the river. Protection of the shoreline and other environmental concerns figured prominently in the planning.
