The U.S. Geological Survey operates a stream monitoring site on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River at Front Royal, Virginia, designated as station 01631000. This site provides real-time data on river stage and flow, helping track water levels and flood potential in the region. Located in Warren County, the station sits at an elevation of approximately 469 feet and monitors a drainage area of 1,642 square miles.
