Major Conservation Funding Announced

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and National Fish & Wildlife Foundation awarded $12.5 million for 30 conservation projects across the Delaware River watershed. With matching funds, total investment reaches nearly $30 million, supporting forest and wetland restoration, flood-mitigation work, and new public-access projects. More information.

Watershed Advocacy on Capitol Hill

Watershed advocates gathered in Washington for the 2026 Hill Day, urging Congress to strengthen clean-water programs, habitat restoration funding, and community resilience initiatives across the four-state basin. PFAS Contamination Highlighted

A recent study identified the Delaware River Basin as a global hotspot for PFAS contamination, raising concerns about long-term drinking-water safety. The Delaware River Basin Commission is expanding monitoring and exploring remediation strategies as part of a broader Water Resources Resilience Plan framework.
