River Access Point

blank dot

The 7th St. boat ramp is a boat ramp at the confluence of Brandywine Creek and the Christina River. It is part of the Babiarz Park, along with a popular skateboard park.

The boat ramp was closed in 2004 and in bad condition, but a court settlement from an oil spill on the Delaware River created a fund for restoration of the boat ramp. The site sits at the confluence of the Christina River and Brandywine Creek, providing direct water access less than two miles from the Delaware River. Key amenities include a durable, modernized ramp built to withstand tidal impacts and storms; a new floating dock alongside the ramp to assist with launching and retrieving vessels, and a dedicated access specifically designed for paddlers and kayakers.Refurbished Fishing Pier: Rebuilt with fresh decking and safety handrails after being closed to the public for years.Trailer Parking & Lighting: An expanded paved parking lot specifically designed to accommodate truck-and-trailer setups, alongside new public safety lighting.7th Street Skatepark: The grassroots outdoor concrete skatepark located directly adjacent to the boating area remains intact and open
