Mill Rift Rapids
Rapids
Depending on the water level, the Mill Rift Rapids offer Class 1 & 2 rapids, with stretches of quiet pools. On the western fork of Cherry Island, this rift offers a quiet drift trip, to the Southern Terminus Access Area, by No. 2 Railroad bridge, identifing the southern point of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. Originally know as Sawmill Rift, this section of the Delaware is largely unchanged from the 19th century. Elephant Feet Rocks, also known as Glass House Rocks, is named for a glass factory that was located nearby.
