Tusten Falls Rapids

Rapids

blank dot

Tustin Falls rapids is the first of three Class II rapids, making up a popular six-mile stretch of the Delaware. The first rapids start just below the railroad bridge, five miles south of Narrowsburg New York. The rift is best navigated from the center of the river. With its many riffles and rapids, this area is not suitable for motor boat. Tusten Falls, a nearby waterfall is a popular spot for hiking and fishing. The newly opened Tusten Mountain Trail overlooks the Delaware River and offers a magnificent view of the Upper Delaware Valley. The trail is a partnership with the Greater New York Council of the Boy Scouts of America and is moderately difficult, taking you on a loop through historic remains of the Tusten Settlement as you climb to the summit for a magnificent view of the Upper Delaware Valley
