Historic Site

blank dot

The historic railroad station of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad is a reminder of the heyday of the Delaware Water Gap, when more than 16 hotels served guests arriving by train from the New York City area. The station was built in 1903 and was a vital link in the railroad line that connected New York and Buffalo. It served passengers until 1970. Today the railroad station is visible from Interstate 80 toll plaza but is not open to the public.
