As of early 2026, the visitor center building at Kittatinny Point has been closed, though the site remains open for, and functioning as, a scenic overlook, picnic area, and boat launch. While often associated with the Delaware Water Gap on the PA side, the site is geographically in Columbia, NJ, just off I-80. The site provides access to the Appalachian Trail, boat launches, and parking. For in-person information and services, visitors are directed to other locations such as the Bushkill Meeting Center or Dingmans Falls Visitor Center. The site is part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The 70,000-acre park follows 40 miles of the Middle Delaware National Scenic and Recreational River through the Delaware Water Gap. No fee is charged for boat launching. The site is located below the I-80 bridge.

Next access point upstream is Worthington State Forest, 4 miles north.
