The Palisades Interstate Park is a park located on the Hudson River. It is about twelve miles long and half a mile wide, with 2,500 acres of wild Hudson River shoreline, uplands, and cliffs. It is situated just minutes from midtown Manhattan. The park has over 30 miles of trails for hikers and cross-country skiers to discover, ranging from gentle riverside strolls to challenging rock scrambles. There are four riverfront picnic areas that provide space to relax and play by the mighty Hudson1. Fishing and crabbing are allowed along the shoreline for the length of the park. The park also offers a wide range of public programs throughout the year that are open to all and at no or minimal cost.
