Camped at this site when biking the C&O from D.C. to Cumberland. It's a nice stop point from Hancock, and leave the next day a shorter segment to ride to Cumberland. This is a very nice site. Water pump works. The only drawback is the train noise across the river. Nevertheless, this is the common issue on more or less on all the campsites along the C&O canal.

Still a great campsite! There is some construction work being done at the nearest entrance about a quarter mile away as of April 30th. Nice to camp right along the river.

Great free camping spot, lots of open space so people can camp right next to the trail down to on the Potomac.

The BEST camp ground we found on this part of the trail. If you're biking/hiking and debating between this spot and another further along - stay here. We were torn between this and continuing another few miles and I'm so glad we decided to stay. Super secluded, spot with a table and fire pit right along the river.

There's a rare hammock spot down by the river here.
