The Whitney Young Bridge or the East Cap Bridge is a ok for cars, probably better for pedestrians and bikes. Cyclists can connect with the Anacostia River Trail which can get you to Silver Spring or Nats Park. With cars the bridge does limit your options to going into Anacostia or getting on I-295.

Whoo! Boy does this bridge carry TRAFFIC! I am a colossal fan of this bridge as it carries me across the Anacostia to all of my favorite East Capitol Street shenanigans. I have been on many bridges in my day and this one takes the cake! Did I mention that this thing has LENGTH? Whoo! Whenever I drive on this marvel of modern highway engineering I am just blown away. I will definitely be returning here in the near future.

As edgar said Whoo! Boy, do I enjoy this bridge as well. Not only do I cross it during the day but at night. Wow what a magnificent piece of modern architecture. Makes you wonder how all of those salamanders built up the strength to construct such a thing.

Clear road, not a smooth road, need some maintenance also the whole surrounding streets need to be repainted 🙂🙂
