Stopped to chill out while finishing out lunch. Relaxing. Lots of shade trees to sit under. Road noise was not bad. Clean and well taken care of. Bathrooms should be looked after a bit better.

It’s adequate for a primitive campground, the price is right and the sites are plenty big enough for big or small groups. There are 2 port-a John’s and a well pump, there is no access to the river at the campsites. A couple drawbacks is very limited to no cell service and a lot of road noise and train noise making it difficult to get a good night sleep.

Simple spot, about 10 minutes from town if you forget anything. Nothing on site except for water and portable toilets, come prepared! I've been camped here 5 or 6 times and only once had another group of campers. Very private, which is just my style. River is beautiful, trains make for amazing views at night in the pitch black. The park "rangers" came by one morning and dropped me off a bunch of freshly trimmed branches and logs to burn in my fire. Much appreciated. $10 through the off-season, $20 in the summer. If I were you, I'd pay for one night and stay more. Nobody's checking and it's not worth more than $10 a night.

Nice campsites by the water. There is some room between the campsites as well. The road nearby is not bad at all, didn't bother me once. The only thing that got on my nerves was the gnats. One expects bugs when camping, but not millions of little gnats flying in your face constantly during daylight hours. Minus the gnat problem this place was very nice.

Nice quiet campground except for the traffic on Oldtown Rd and the trains coming through on the West Virginia side. Just need to fill in some of the holes on the campground road that (as of 06/29/19) are pretty bad for regular cars.
