This is on the C&O Canal towpath. I took a 4 mile walk on a beautiful fall day. The path is smooth and flat.

In the past my family and I have kayak to and from Snyders Landing. There's a boat ramp. The boat ramp can be busy.

We went as a family and our grand daughters brought their fishing poles to cast in from the shore.Great family time. We walked the trail for a little bit hut had to stop because of possible poison ivy

Beautiful place to enjoy river. Bring your own chair or boat. Starting point to walk or ride on C & O canal towpath. Parking lot up on road with pit toilet.

Easy in and out access for watercraft. There is a boat ramp for vehicle access but it's not overly large so make sure you know how to maneuver your vehicle. The area is busier during the summer months for swimmers, dogs, boats, fishing and people hiking the C&O. Sometimes the lot can fill up on a sunny weekend day.
