It's a peaceful spot to watch the boats coming and going by, as well as watching the puffy white cloud formations ⛅️ 🌥

Go to place for convos with my daughters. Great views especially if you walk to the edge of the dock. Sometimes too many people (you can smell the smoke) but most people keep to themselves and/or are pleasant.

Beautiful old wreckage of a historic manor. Hiking trails. Unmaintained beyond mowing. The launch is a couple of concrete boat ramps, well maintained. 1/4 mile beach at low tide. Lots of fisher-folk sadly leave trash. Deep water access for power boats directly on to the Potomac. Views of Mt Vernon across the river. I launch kayaks, and boards here often. No fees, no facilities.

One of my favorite places to sit and contemplate the day.

Even on a windy cold day, such as today, this place is nice, pretty and relaxing.
