Lake Ridge Golf Course is one of the best hidden gems for anyone who wants to sharpen their iron game. It’s a nine-hole par-3 course, so you’re not coming here to bomb drivers all day, but that’s the beauty of it. Every hole forces you to dial in your short and mid-irons, and for anyone from beginner to intermediate level, that’s exactly the practice you need. They do have a small range where you can pull out the driver if you want to warm up, so you’re not missing out completely.
I know some reviews out there throw shade at the course, but honestly, for the price and the skill level it’s aimed at, it’s perfect. It’s affordable, peaceful, and the layout is exactly what you want when you’re trying to build consistency instead of pretending you’re on the PGA Tour. I’m already looking forward to the season kicking off again so I can grab a membership.
Huge shoutout to Sophia, too. She helped me and my foursome out and was genuinely one of the coolest people working at any course I’ve been to. Super friendly, patient, and made the whole visit smoother. I hope the course gives her the credit she deserves.
Can’t wait to play here again.

We went for the first time today. There is a lovely breeze but I feel like it might get pretty hot in the summer since the playground is not covered. There is a port-a-potty and close parking but no gate for the kids. There are grills and pavilions that I think can be rented/reserved. There is also a small mini-golf course that I’m anxious to try come April. There are some steep hills which my older kids love but are a problem for toddlers.

Cool little park area with a place to golf, area for the kids, and some short trails to go on. Plenty of parking as well, picnic tables, and seating along trails, and restrooms.

This place was so beautiful. Went twice in a week and went down different trails. Would revisit. Not much parking in the marina but another parking lot just next to the marina and discovered a different trail from there...that was a treat.

Loved the Fall foilage of the park.
