Spend the day~ Rent kayaks paddle around Belmont Bay/Potomac River. Rent bikes, miles of wonderful trails. If you love to be in the woods, enjoy all types of birds. You will love Mason Neck State Park. Grills, restrooms with running water. Sunsets are spectacular

The landing is sandy and drop off area is clear and easy to use. You’ll have to park up at the upper parking lot and walk back to the launch area. Beautiful place, calm water when we went since it’s in a cove.

I hesitate to review this place as I am not sure I want there to be more people who know about it! A hidden gem for sure. Always quiet, great place to ride a bike on road or paved trail, great place to run, and light car traffic in the park itself. If you park before the ranger station you can avoid the fee, and you are about 2.5 miles from the water at that point. Always see lots of hikers, dog-walkers, cyclists. Friendly community too. Love VA regional parks. Note: it is exceptionally buggy in the spring months due to it being a wetland, be sure you have repellent.

Such a nice place for outing throughout the weekend and week days many walking trails and open places for cooking and grilling winding machine available restrooms needs a little bit maintenance guiding office with some weekly activities also boating facility for boat rides lovers overall perfect place for chill and grill
