Launched our kayaks from the little beach. Went up the Piscataway creek all the way to Rt. 210, lots of birds, turtles and 2 Eagles. Very nice paddle.

It’s a gem. If you are a fisherman why are you not here right now??? Not shown here but I literally caught my PB blue catfish 22 incher! Very slow during low tide, but caught this during. I’m wondering what its like when it’s high tide! As a friendly reminder DO NOT return blue catfish into the water. Take it home to use as fertilizer for your gardens.
Edit: I’ve literally been fishing here for the past month after initially posting this and I have never been skunked here. I caught from everything to a chub, blue catfish, bullhead catfish, sun fish, eel, and perch. All with night crawlers.
Tip 1. Use hi low rigs and or fish finder rig. And smaller hooks. This is key. Fish don’t like to bite on big circle hooks in my experience. You can still bring in big fish on the smaller hooks, don’t worry bout getting gut hooked because that hasn’t been the case for me. Downsizing your rigs here seems to be the key here due to the shallow nature of this part of the river.
People swear by 2 oz 3 oz weight but for me 1 oz is more than enough. Just make sure u have a surfing rod type of rod that can cast far. The bait that works for me is whole night crawlers, cut fish, and one time using chicken with koolaid. I lean toward night crawlers period!
Tip2. Bring plenty of collapsible chairs
Tip 3. Always bring plenty of bug spray and sun screen.
Tip 4. Fish when high tide is coming in and preferably timed during the least hottest parts of the day like morning or evening. Water coming in during high tide during the middle of the day seemed to affect the fish bites and it gets hot out there fast.

My favorite spot in MD to get away from everybody!
Best place for a little bbq, even better place to clear your head.
It’s a cool little cove in the water.
If you go please don’t trash it we all love this spot and want to keep it clean while we have access to it. Otherwise it’s just another hangout spot that could get shut down.
Thanks for liking what the locals Love.
