Great experience. Fell in love with this marina. I brought a boat down from DC and stopped here for the night. Owners let us use their car to go into town and grab dinner. What a wonderful place. I was given the grand tour in the morning of the grounds. This marina and surrounding structures are for sale. The house is included and sits on the point.
Im actively looking for investors to buy this piece of property.

We found Smith Point Marina and camp grounds by accident. It’s a nice covered slip system, clean grounds and a friendly atmosphere. There is a rest room, service area, picnic area and marina store. We saw every size boat and camper. The water way and ramp area was clean and refreshing. Many lovely views.

I prefer Smith Point Marina when I want access to the Chesapeake. They are convenient and no-frills. They have a garden hose for washing salt off your watercraft. Every time I have stopped there is no staff to take my money for using the ramp ~ it is on the honor system where you take an envelope and write your vehicle info down then drop it off in a box. I do love its simplicity. My reasons for four stars is 1) Parking for vehicles with trailers can be limited. I have always come on what appear to be slow days where I have been at the dock for a long time and seen nobody else come and go dropping their boat off, yet the parking spaces are near full. One time I found one spot and barely fit. 2) I have wanted to get stuff from the store before, but often had trouble finding an employee. Ideally, when you want to buy something it shouldn't be hard to find someone to pay. I do find these minor, and in no way will they deter me from recommending this place. I love it here and it is very scenic. I cannot wait to return.

We just needed a place to stay in our RV for a week between booked reservations …what a nice week we had at Smith Point. The owner was helpful and nice. Very clean laundry room. My wife rented a kayak one morning which she loved. Very quiet and peaceful and we had fantastic neighbors. We learned to catch and cook crabs from Matt and we learned about dolphins from “the dolphin girls” from Georgetown University staying there. Definitely off the grid and not for everyone but it was perfect for us!

Hidden gem. The ramp is very big and an easy launch for 1 boat at a time. Staff is the best. Fuel station on site. 1 of my favorite marinas in the nnk.
