Anacostia River Keeper hosting Friday Night Fishing and it is pretty cool here. Don't dock your boat here, it's illegal! Next week is the last week for free fishing. They set you up with bait and a rod which is pretty cool and they do it every summer. Kids enjoyed it.

A nice lil public park situated on the banks of the #anacostiariver in SE DC, near the the Nationals baseball stadium, restaurants, a boardwalk and adjoining pedestrian pier sitting just inches above the river's waters! I love the peaceful environment, the views of river and New Frederick Douglas Memorial Bridge!!!

This area is great for walking, exercising, and ride bicycle. There are also restaurants where you can have dinner and talking with family or friends.

This was an educational boat ride about the progress of cleaning up the Anacostia River. You learn about plants, different birds, turtles, and there's even a Ball Eagle's nest along the way! Great adventure for kids!
