Really nice once you get there. Easy for all levels and a fun way to get on the water while staying in town.

I loved this place. Set my portable hammock in the shade and let the day pass by. Plenty of families enjoying the place but not too crowded. Watch out for the ducks and their dropping in the grass. Go for a walk in the trial then relax and unwind here.

I'm always looking for parks along the river and this one along B&O and Potomac is really rustic and fun. It can be a little confusing your first time going there, I suggest you do a little direction research ahead of your outing. Biking and hiking trails, kayak and canoe rentals, picnic tables with some stationary grills and spots for campfires. Dogs on leashes are very welcome. The restrooms are at the upper parking area. The larger parking area is down by the river past upper parking lot just go straight over tiny bridge when entering.

This is a great park along the C&O canal for walking, running, biking, and canoeing and kayaking on the Potomac. There is ample parking if you are willing to venture through the uncontrolled single direction bridge/road section to the lower parking area. There are minimal but functional restrooms on the upper parking area. Canoeing and kayaking rentals, especially with the online system, was efficient and easy. Launching and recovery was also very easy. The offered lifejackets did make your clothes smell bad so plan on changing clothes.
