Beautiful location! The buildings reminded me of our stay in Bavaria Germany. Our room overlooked the Potomac, and the view was stunning. The room was impeccably clean. We loved the provided warm and cozy bathrobes! We got a meat charcuterie tray, as well as chocolate covered strawberries, and it was all delicious! The pub was gorgeous with awesome and attentive staff, and the food was great. We wish we could've stayed for more than one night! Great place for a romantic getaway.

Just a beautiful resort! The food was fantastic. Dinner delicious! Breakfast that comes with the room was the best we had had in a hotel. It was way more than a continental breakfast: fresh fruit, unbelievable pastries, eggs, fresh juice, and excellent coffee. The view of the Potomac River from our room was breathtaking. The people that run the hotel were all very nice and hospitable. And one last unexpected treat...some of the best beer we had ever had that is made on the property!

I chose this resort for a one-night stay costing $382 including tax and resort fees to celebrate my birthday and attend a work Christmas gathering at the brewery. I specifically booked a premier room for the river views, expecting an experience that reflected the upscale pricing. Unfortunately, the room did not meet those expectations.
The room appeared not to have been thoroughly cleaned or recently occupied. The light fixture above the bathtub contained multiple bugs, and there were dead insects in the window sill near the tub. After taking a hot bath, it became clear that the whirlpool tub jets had not been properly cleaned, as debris surfaced, making the tub unpleasant to use.
The stand-up shower leaked significantly, leaving water all over the bathroom floor. In addition, the furniture and carpet were quite dusty, which further contributed to the overall impression that the room had been sitting empty for some time.
There were also a few operational issues. The ice machine outside the room was out of order, and based on the posted signage, this did not appear to be a new problem. At check-in, my card was run for a pre-authorization and then charged again about an hour later, which resulted in automated alerts that my card was declining—an unnecessary issue during what was meant to be a relaxing stay.
I had been looking forward to visiting this resort, but for the price and the “premier” designation, the experience fell short. I’ve had cleaner, more comfortable stays at standard hotels at a much lower cost. While the location and concept have potential, the room condition and overall experience did not align with the expectations of an upscale resort.

Overall the stay was decent - first room had frozen water pipes (so after i was fully unpacked) and figured it out - had to be switched to a different room (a discount was given for inconvience - but only after i had to ask). Next room had some dead bugs in bathroom (again i understand that happens- but i asked desk to make sure housekeeping cleaned it up (as they were going to change linens) and it wasn’t done. Food was nothing spectacular this time (had a better experience like 2 years ago). Staff is very friendly. Couldn’t walk to downtown as there was snow everywhere - but if your up for a good walk it is doable

We had Leila as our server today and she was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet, prompt, and gave us exceptional service. Our drinks were never low and she timed our food perfectly. Very knowledgeable in the menu and went out of her way to make us feel so comfortable! She worked around the kids allergies and checked everything for us which we greatly appreciated. We loved her so much! Thank you for giving us such a lovely experience!
