An amazing park with a trail that is great for walking, running, or biking. There are plenty of picnic areas you can reserve as well and a boating area. My son loves coming here. Make sure to bring insect repellent though because the gnats are relentless.

Hidden gem? It was for me. I took my foster dog here for a Friday afternoon and was so impressed with the grounds and all the trails.

So well maintained, and just a beautiful place to walk on a fall day.

Occoquan Regional Park is beautifully maintained and has such a peaceful vibe. The trails, open fields, and waterfront areas are always clean and cared for, making it a perfect spot to enjoy nature. As a photographer, I can say it’s one of the best locations in the area for engagement sessions—the variety of scenery gives so many options for stunning photos. Highly recommend for both relaxing visits and capturing special moments.

Today was my first visit to this park, and it won't be my last. It was great being by the river and Loved my hike as half paved path and half off road. I'll run the trail next visit and visit the parts of the park I did not see. I also look forward to visiting the cafe. Looked so nice with the outdoor seating on this beautiful Memorial Day. It is a nice park to reflect and to be thankful for those who have given all so we are able to enjoy our lives.

The park, by virtue of its beautiful natural scene and serene ambience, unwraps beauty in every corner. Silently posed harbors envelop the landscape, unfolding views of shiny water that bring the observer up short. The clean picnic ground welcomes visitors to sit down, loosen up, and have a meal in its spacious and clean setting. I also highly recommend taking pictures of the harbor when sunset comes.
