Clean and comfortable cabin with a small but so noticable and appreciated details as a Bike Repair Tools box and a small heater for the cooler night. Host is very nice and response to my text in a minute. Don't forget the laundry on a site! Love my stay!

I booked a cabin and the bus for a group of 7 cyclists. The accommodations were fantastic. We were able to clean our bikes, do our laundry, and get showers. The host provided water coolers, so we were able to refill our water bottles. We loved sitting around the campfire in the evening. Probably the most unique overnight stay I’ve done on the GAP/C&O Canal trails.

Perfect Mother-Daughter Weekend Getaway at Canal Cabins
Just returned from an absolutely wonderful weekend at Canal Cabins in Paw Paw, WV with two of my best friends and our daughters - six ladies total, and we were all thoroughly impressed!
The Journey
We drove up from Montgomery County, MD and made a perfect pit stop in Berkeley Springs Friday evening for dinner before heading to the cabins. The drive was easy and scenic, setting the tone for a relaxing weekend.
Accommodations - Simply Outstanding
I have to rave about the bedding situation! As anyone who’s traveled with a group of picky sleepers knows, it’s nearly impossible to please everyone when it comes to comfort. But somehow Canal Cabins managed to amaze all six of us with:
• Incredibly comfortable beds that had everyone sleeping soundly
• Plenty of extra pillows (a rare luxury!)
• The softest sheets we’ve ever experienced at a rental property
When six different women all comment on how amazing the bedding is, you know it’s something special!
Location Benefits
The cabins are perfectly positioned with a quick, easy drive to the Artisan Village in Grantsville, which made for a lovely day trip exploring local crafts and shops.
Overall Experience
Canal Cabins provided the perfect base for our mother-daughter weekend. The comfort level was exceptional, and the peaceful setting allowed us to truly unwind and connect. We’re already talking about making this an annual tradition!
Would definitely recommend for: Girls’ weekends, family getaways, anyone seeking comfortable accommodations in a beautiful West Virginia setting.
Bottom line: When the hardest part of your trip is leaving those incredibly cozy beds, you know you’ve found a gem!

Such a lovely place to rest, rare along the C&O trail. We tried The Bus, and what a sweet memory we got. Bus (room) is sizeable enough to store our bikes inside, very clean interior and linens. Bathroom/shower is separate (2 stalls) but very clean. Bike washing station, too. Every corner of the property you feel the owners' passion. What a great stay!

This place gets an A+++ offering a basic yet comfortable cozy place to sleep with attention to detail for cyclists. I loved the book left on the night stand, the bike cleaning station and the chess set. Thank you for the comfort after a long day of cycling. It really made my trip.
