Stopped in for a beer while shopping around town. Comfortable little spot, they even had some cider boiling over the wood stove. The bartender at Stoneys recommended that we make a stop at the Meck and we're glad we did!

My husband and I are a huge fan of English pubs and were excited to check out this one especially because it had a nice patio. We even chatted outside with a friendly customer leaving. However we were denied entry because we had our baby with us.
If you want to be a 21+ bar, fine. But market yourself that way. This should not be labeled family friendly. We attempted to look up hours and business info before we went and there was none available and there was none posted at the entrance as well so this was no fault of ours.
I can’t rate their food or drinks but I can only assume they are dive bar at best since that was the treatment we received from the service.

Wow what a beautiful Inn and backyard garden. Friendly Bartender who was was very knowledgeable with the history of the Inn. Thank you for making me feel welcome!
**Update 9/4/25 ** I don't think the bartender did it, but she disappeared after someone stole my money on the bar. That really put a damper to the end of night, and I will not be in any hurry to go back :(

We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect location, right in the heart of town where you can walk everywhere without having to get back in the car. George was a great host. The place was clean and spacious.

The bar excels at beers and well drinks, that's their niche, and what they are allowed to make, for speed and customer turn around time. Bartenders Lynn and Kevin, depending on what night you visit to catch them, are awesome.
The burgers are fantastic.
They tend to have live music on the weekends.
The only cons are the music trends to be too loud for patrons at the bar to have and hear conversations, the PoS system doesn't accept digital pay (tap and pay with your phone), upcoming events and music trend to be posted late on their FB page instead of before hand to give enough time to generate interest.
It's an "Inn" and does have a room upstairs that can be rented, but again, it can't be booked online, you have to call the owner, George, to see if it's available.
Their digital footprint needs improvement, which in turn could generate more exposure and revenue for them, as well as creating ease for the staff.
