I really don't know why this is so highly reviewed. Walked the whole perimeter. The views are great. The trees are nice. Looks like a decent place for a picnic or fishing. There is so much potential here, but everything is in disrepair. The bathrooms are out of order, the sidewalk is more broken than whole. The benches and picnic tables are mostly broken. Even the golf course has bare spots and probably should be removed as a waste of space in dc. In the heart of the city, next to the national park headquarters this is embarrasing.

Peaceful park to take your pups out on a walk, they do have a bike trail as well. They have a golf course, most of the restrooms are functional and most of the time they are clean. There are spots to grill, fish, and a playground for the kids. You can take your family to celebrate a birthday or grill and enjoy nature. It can get pretty crowded on the weekends, take chairs if the benches are not available and ample parking. Perfect place to watch the sunset.

It’s that time of year again! Cherry blossoms! These were incredible! This is the perfect area for a picnic or a stroll. There is ton of cherry blossoms lining the road. You’ll be dodging “influencers” the entire time, but it was worth it. Some of the railing and sidewalk was over taken by water and closed off, but for the most part it was intact. Might be harder for a wheelchair unless it was capable for riding on dirt and grass.

One of my favorite places for Cherry Blossoms 🌸, watching planes ✈️, picnic 🧺, walking by the water 💧, and more!
