Great experience and stunning landscape. Definitely worth visiting when you’re in the area of DC. Ideal for families, old and young people. The waterfall outlooks are the attraction in the park. Although I found that the ticket price is not fair, 20$ for one person and car. Many bigger parks in the country are for free.

We visited during the month of March on a beautiful day! There are a lot of trails in the park and around the area, and you get some great views of the falls! Dogs are allowed ON LEASH in the park which made us happy as we wanted to make sure our dogs could enjoy a little hike as well!
The park was clean, signs were informative, and the bathrooms were open and clean as well! This is a wonderful area to visit and we will be back!

Much prefer the VA side of Great Falls to ramble around in and out of the woods down to the water & rocks with secret little hidden beach points , vs. the BillyGoat side which tends to be narrow and quite overcrowded on a holiday. Also much more parking and a decent to go cafeteria to warm up on a cold winter day's hike. Spectacular views. Good hikes for kids and elderly. Decent restrooms.

Excellent falls. Hidden gem that many people don't even know exists so close the country's capitol. Overlook 2 and 3 are best, whereas overlook 1 gives partial view, but still awesome. Not all these three overlooks are 100 percent accessible using wheelchair or mobility scooter. The rocky hiking areas are mostly not accessible by wheelchair or mobility scooter. Don't get too close to the rocky edge; falling several hundred doors on the sharp rocks are deadly. One notice board there says on a stage 7 people drown in the falls every year. Be safe, enjoy, don't get crazy. Good place for white water rafting.

Great Falls Park was beautiful! A reminder of God’s amazing handiwork! Visited here in September to hike & see the waterfalls! I feel it’s a must for anyone who loves hiking & lives near the area. You have to visit at least once.
