I stayed here for 1 night in April 2021 through the C&O Canal Trust rental service. The lockhouse is basic - no heat/AC, no electricity, no running water. We packed water with us so this was no problem. The lockhouse is nicely restored and comfortable, both inside and outside. It was well-sealed too - it was 28 degrees F when we woke up but it was pretty cozy inside! There is a picnic table and fire pit available behind the lockhouse. If you don't mind the more rustic conditions, I highly recommend staying here!

While it gives you the authentic feel of how the lockhouse keepers lived, if you have any kind of allergy you will not be happy. Spent most of the night sniffing and sneezing due to the musty damp smell.
