Rich and Theresa hosted our family reunion and easily accommodated almost 40 of us for a 4-day weekend. We loved the new tiny houses and cabins. We got lucky and the weather cooled a little to make sleeping nice in the yurts. The kids loved playing in the river, epic Uno games in the river kitchen and making up new outdoor games in the grassy meadow. They adapted to being disconnected from the Internet, but did go through withdrawal for about 12 hours. We cooked everything in the well-apportioned kitchen and grill pavilion. The screened in dining hall had more than enough space for all of us. The bicyclists in our group paddled bikes over to the C&O Canal path twice to ride the trail. Rich even took our large group up river for a float trip, which was a big hit for the kids and adults alike. If you go, I recommend renting the canoes, kayaks, and tubes for the duration of your stay. Also, bring headlamps! It’s a long walk to the bathhouse in the dark (and it’s very dark at night, though we were there during a new moon).
We had a great time and I readily recommend Three Otters to anyone looking for a family or large group event space.

We got married at Three Otters in May. Rich and Theresa were the absolute best. They were so accommodating and helpful. It had rained a ton in the months leading to the wedding which was stressful for us and them, But they made sure the venue was ready to go and perfect. The tiny houses, Yurts and campers were perfect for our guests who stayed the weekend and they have everything could ever need. It is well worth the drive for a beautiful and memerable time connecting with loved ones. We could not have asked for a better location for our weekend. We can't wait to revisit in the years to come !

Covid didn't stop us from our yearly family vacation. That year we rented the entire site for a week, and had so many fun, carefree, loving, adventurous, and sharing times. My husband, the host of our yearly event, sadly passed away this week. But the beautiful memories will never leave us. Thank you 3 Otters for being among them.

This place is amazing. I just came back from a weekend there and feel totally refreshed. It felt good to unplug and enjoy nature in such a beautiful setting. We took two relaxing and fun tubing trips and enjoyed our time in the river!

I loved the set up of the place. The bath houses were clean and beautifully maintained. The lodging was comfortable with a variety of different options to choose from (vintage trailers, campers, tents, a cabin and a yurt, all nicely decorated). There was a big open field where some of our group played kick ball. It was the perfect place to come and relax. I'd highly recommend it to any group big or small that's looking for a relaxing spot to get away and enjoy the outdoors.
