What a beautiful hidden gem. I truly recommend going here. Beautiful sunset. There are plenty of grills there where you can cook up something good and then enjoy the magical view.

Fantastic state park! The visitor's center was great and the staff and volunteer's were very friendly and helpful. They had lots of things for kids to do like Park Bingo with binoculars they can use and they were having a touch a pelt wildlife talk while we were there. You can rent paddleboards, kayaks or canoes from the visitor's center, which is open from 9-4 on weekdays and from 9-7 on weekends. There are lots places to see wildlife, we saw loons, ducks, osprey, butterflies, dragonflies etc no eagles though :( $10 parking fee at the gate.

Had a great time here and amazing recommendations with knowledge from the park ranger! So cool and helpful information available at the visitors center. Took the Bayview trail and used the car top boat launch. Lovely paddle and nice shaded hike.

Beautiful park reserve on the Potomac to see lots of wildlife and enjoy the amazing scenery. Although it's not far from the city you couldn't tell from the serene forest and water around you. Unbelievable to see bald eagles roaming around, as well. Well worth the drive and the minor $10 parking fee. Will definitely come back for another visit

One of the nicer parks in the area. With playground, picnic area, convenient restrooms, with some nice trials with view and to observe nature.
