Tony and I stopped while in Hancock, MD at the C&O Canal Visitor's Center along the Potomac River. There was a sign on the road directing you to the parking lot and trail. Just be careful, due to numerous cyclist and walkers.
We strolled past Canal Lock 52 to the Tonoloway Creek Aqueduct. It was amazing to see the thick rock facing of the cliff area and you can see the rocks in the river bottom.
Free to enjoy this lovely historical location. Plenty of walking and signage to read and learn about the past. The aqueduct truly is a piece of Artwork!!!
If in the area check it out!!!
