A stunning outdoor escape! Highly recommend visiting the park in the early fall (we visited in Aug 2025) to enjoy the crisp fall weather.

Trails vary in difficulty, but all are scenic and well-maintained. I strongly recommend wearing hiking boots as some of the trails are quite challenging and wet. However, majority of the trails are very well maintained and offer a variety level of difficulty. The views along the rock formations were some of the highlights and every turn felt like discovering a new hidden gem.

We stayed at the Turkey Run Inn. It was very well maintained, clean and offers easy access to the park itself.

One thing to note, come early if you want to beat the crowd. The park does get insanely crowded in early - mid afternoon on the trail so something to plan and look out for!

Can’t wait to come back again in the winter to enjoy a different scenery!

This was such a beautiful park and had some really cool trails to hike. It was alot of fun walking through the Cliffs and seeing the scenery. Walking through the water to see the small waterfalls, climbing the ladders down at bear hollow and navigating the mudd. Part of the trail had downed trees and had to slowly walk through all that but it was fun. Just a really cool trail. Im glad I found this State Park.

We love this place!! It’s $7 for Indiana residents to get in. Don’t need to pay $1 for the map…you can scan the QR CODE once inside the park and use the map on your phone! They have different levels of trails….easy to very tough.
It’s clean, lots to do and employees are friendly. Can’t wait to visit again!! ♥️🤍💙

My husband and I have gone almost every year since we started dating. We usually go in the fall for my birthday, but this year we went in spring for our wedding anniversary. It was so lush and beautiful and perfect weather! It was nice to see the park being maintained well. Always a great place for a hike. Their maps are rated by terrain difficulty, so it's great for hikers of all ages and level of endurance. Turkey Run is a place everyone should experience at least once!

The most beautiful park I've ever seen! We used the All trails app to lookup trail #3. Don't use all trails. It said this trail was moderate. It's actually very rugged as it reads on the maps at the park. You can purchase a physical copy of a map for $1. I had full charge on my phone then All trails drained my battery not even halfway on the trail. Wanderingwithcourtney advised using the Gaia GPS app instead. We met a bunch of nice people on the trail. They let us know trail 9 has been closed since 2025 from a mud slide. When we arrived at the park around 8am on a Saturday no one was there but by the time we left at 11:30am the parking lot was full. Trail #3 had a lot of water so I would purchase some waterproof hiking boots. There were 3 ladders we climbed and they weren't difficult. We started the trail by taking the first left after the swinging bridge. Trail #1 was also blocked off when we arrived. Outside of the park you can access the covered bridge as well. I've never seen so many steps and I'm definitely sore two days later.
