Great place to enjoy environment. Parking lot is limited especially during weekends. Please come before 10 P.M.

We hiked to the waterfall during the snow and were the only people there. There is a slight sewage smell on some parts of the trail.

The actual waterfall was a lot of fun. It was a beautiful hike, but walking to get there had too many spots that smelled like sewage.

Lovely spot for an afternoon outing there is plenty of parking at the trailheads. The trails to this spot are not easy or accessible for everyone, so make sure you plan. They are very steep at points and full of rocks and roots. At the falls there is a large rock formation with alcoves where you can find a nice lil spot to relax.

This was our second time trying to visit Scott’s Run Falls. Both parking lots were filled the first time—on a weekend—and we ended up at Difficult Trail Run, which I enjoyed more now that I’ve completed both hikes.
Scott’s Run is a pleasant hike to a water fall. From there, you can turn back or keep climbing until you reach the ruins of an old home. The trail to the waterfall has a few steep, but it’s also wide and well-worn.
As for the other trails: We had some questions about the scale or accuracy of the additional trails mapped along the way to the house ruins. I suspect you won’t have that problem on the weekend. Just follow the flow of people.
If deciding between the two parking lots, the “second” lot (farther from the interstate) has a prettier start along the creek.
Tl;dr: go on a week day and enjoy the hike to a waterfall.
