We’ve started to explore various areas of the conococheague; eager to start down south further but for little hiking and fishing expeditions a few moments from home it’s a nice break without having to dedicate lots of time to “getting there” before our adventures. Nice lazy water on hot summer days-apparently in summer so shallow crocs are good enough - but there’s often a good bit of trash the few times we’ve tried a variety of locations and by the fishing line in the trees I’d wager it’s a good idea to have footwear on with likelihood of hooks and lures - good sign today many cranes and several 14”+ palomino hanging out in the shallows in august -

This is a great creek to go kayaking along. There as multiple access points along the route. It flows into the Potomac River

I love the creek. Very shallow in July and August so best to kayak earlier in the season or a day after rain.

The water was up and the conoeing was great. Did not fish this trip. Don't have my license yet. Heading up over the fourth definitively going to try out the fishing. Looks like good bad water. Fixing to find out. Easy access to the water from route forty just down from the race track. Canoed back to the KOA campground. Took would over an hour.

A little bumpy. But we had fun floating for 3 hrs and listening to music.
