Beautiful river . Fishing was down this year due to the high water conditions the past few years. Some nice size smallmouth Bass can still be caught.

Coming here is a calming place for resolve. For respite. For walking for picture taking. I don't know about swimming in this water. But there are boaters. People fishing. Watermelon park is not far down the road from here. Its beautiful country roads. Just beautiful

One of the most awesome places around Sterling/Herndon area. The awe of the sound of the river reminds you of the John Denver song - Country Road, Take me home. You’ll have a quality time. Trust me. You will like it.

Such a magical place. I grew up in the country on the farm and I feel like I'm closer to home here. Love the Shenendowa with it's clear warm summer waters
