We love this place. I have been taking my sons here since they were children.

I have 18 years experience with this Creek. There's a reason it's called sleepy Creek. It doesn't flow in the summer, therefore it "sleeps". A lot of people drive over this Creek to get to their homes. It used to get up to 50 feet deep in the late winter before they made a dam upstream. It likes to run fast from April to may, great kayaking, this Creek is notorious for dislodging large trees and puking them into the Potomac. This is not a Creek you want to underestimate.
